Royal Family Kids Camp is a 5 day summer camp experience for 6-12 year olds who have experienced abuse, neglect and abandonment. Caring, trained adult volunteers fill the roles of camp counselor and staff. Daily camp activities include swimming, fishing, creation station, horseback riding and archery. Interactive lessons presented through stories, drama, and music teach foundational truths of God’s love and care for each child. Royal Family Kids Camp is fun.
In addition to receiving the attention and encouragement of an adult Camp Counselor and his/her “buddy camper,” each camper is also offered a variety of fun activities, designed for their success and to build self esteem. Activity centers, games, sports, hiking – sometimes even swimming, fishing and horse-back riding – may be part of the program. Children outside “the system” may take these activities for granted, but for children of abuse, abandonment, and neglect, Royal Family provides a week of extraordinary fun.
